MA ON SHAN CLIMB
WILD FACTOR
★★★★☆
The highest peak in Eastern Hong Kong, Ma On Shan (Saddle Peak) casts a commanding presence over its expansive surroundings.
Ascend out of Ma On Shan township with us and onto dramatic mountain slopes. Climb the twin peaks of Ma On Shan and negotiate one of Hong Kong’s finest ridge walks before finishing in the rural town of Sai Kung.
This hike is possible all year round, however, autumn and winter are optimal as conditions are generally quite pleasant.
It is possible to do this climb in the summer months, but is the domain of those who seek a serious workout. Sunny days between June and September can be sweltering.A strenuous hike; one needs to be, or aspire to be in good physical condition in order to partake. However nothing too technical.
