Tucked away in Sai Kung Country Park, embark on an adventure in search of uninhabited islands and towering rock formations. Explore the Hong Kong
UNESCO Global Geopark in the best way possible. Paddle through dramatic sea arches and caves, then explore a nice beach or two along the way.
Depending on weather conditions and the group/individuals’ ability we will adapt the route within reason.
Best times of year are from March through to October when seas are generally calmer. Other times of year are much less reliable due to swells. In the event that conditions are not favourable, we can reschedule the tour.
Difficult. We will only take people with paddling experience on this route. If not certain, then come on our other Geopark Kayaking Tour first and get a feel for things.
This route is NOT EASY, please be honest with us about your fitness / kayaking experience and intent to do this option. The photos of caves and arches are pretty and some days the sea can be calm, but conditions can change very quickly in these exposed regions!

Regular Itinerary would be as follows:
9:00 Gather in Hang Hau, then depart
10:10 Arrive at launch beach and prepare to kayak
10:30 Begin Paddling. Paddling time and route is variable based on your ability, speed and sea conditions. We will explore beaches, caves and hopefully some sea arches if possible too. Enjoy packed lunch (Bring your own lunch) on beautiful beach.
15:00 > 16:00 Finish paddling
16:00 > 17:00 Journey back to the city

Hang Hau MTR, Exit B2 (outside the 7-11 store adjacent to the station exit). If running late please call or get in touch as we may be able to make alternate arrangements (We can also meet in Sai Kung if preferred).
