SCHOOL HOLIDAY ADVENTURE PROGRAMMES

Get your kids out of the house over the school holidays and into nature. Our fun holiday programmes will be sure to excite and educate, as we explore into the depths of Wild Hong Kong for some epic adventures!

COST:

  • $4500 HKD (5 days per person)
  • Or $950 HKD per day

EXAMPLE ITINERARY:

  • Monday – Ng Tung Chai Waterfall Hike: Warm up on the first day with an adventure on trails through dense jungle on the slopes of Tai Mo Shan. Touring a series of stunning cascades; each waterfall is more dramatic than the last, culminating with HK’s highest waterfall.
  • Tuesday – Wetlands Cycle Ride: Explore Hong Kong’s northern frontier on two wheels and soak up her relaxing surroundings. With the water never far away, this journey is forever scenic and culminates in some fantastic vistas across extensive wetlands and Shenzhen.
  • Wednesday – Country Park Orienteering/Scavenger Hunt: A team-building day where groups strategize to navigate the course, find checkpoints, collect clues, and reach HQ with their team token for prizes. Located with ocean views, rainforest settings, and accessible amenities.
  • Thursday – Sai Kung Kayaking: Explore remote islands, untouched white sand beaches, peaceful mangroves, and exciting sea caves in Sai Kung Country Park.
  • Friday – Wong Lung Hang Stream Trekking: Boulder upstream through Lantau Island’s Yellow Dragons Gorge—a secluded oasis filled with swimming holes and waterfalls.

(We have plenty of scope to reorder the itinerary or change activity types during the week to work around challenging weather if needed).

Central & Tung Chung Location:

  • Pick up: 9:00 outside Central Ferry Pier #9
  • Drop off: 16:30 outside Central Ferry Pier #9

All children are required to be signed in and out each morning and afternoon by a parent or approved guardian over the age of 18. It’s imperative you arrive on time.

Self-Organised Transport:

If you would like to make your own way to the activity location to drop off your child(ren) and/or pick them up afterwards, please indicate that during the registration process and liaise with us on activity day(s) via WhatsApp, phone, or email.

WHAT TO WEAR EVERY DAY:

  • Sunhat
  • T-shirt and shorts
  • Closed toe shoes (not Crocs) and socks

WHAT TO BRING IN A COMFORTABLE BACKPACK (15-20L MAX) EVERY DAY:

  • Rain jacket
  • Wet clothes (rash guard / T-shirt, sports shorts / sports leggings and swimsuit)
  • Wet shoes – must protect the toes (old pair of trainers or water-shoes)
  • Microfibre towel
  • Plastic bag for wet clothes
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellent

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

  • Unprotected phone or electronic devices
  • Food containing peanuts or shellfish
  • Sharp objects / knives
  • Experienced and professional guides
  • Bicycle, Helmet (For cycling tours)
  • Kayaks, Paddles and Life Jackets (For Kayaking tours)
  • We have a limited amount of dry bags for some participants to borrow
  • Transport between the meeting and activity locations
  • Sun cream and insect repellant
  • Clothing
  • Insurance
  • Food & water for the day

SAFETY:

Safety is our top priority. The instructor to child ratio in the water and on rocks is 1:8. Dry land activities are at a 1:10 ratio. Camp has scheduled sunscreen and water breaks. Adventure programme includes contingency activities for poor weather conditions. Our staff are First Aid certified (minimum) and have conducted a recent SCRC. Wild HK reserves the right to modify or cancel activities as necessary for the well-being of participants.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

  1. All cancellations need to be advised by email and confirmed by our team (contact@wildhongkong.com).
  2. 7 or more days before first day of programme – 10% cancellation fee of total booking cost.
  3. 4 to 7 days before first day of programme – 50% cancellation fee of total booking cost.
  4. Cancellation fees can be waived (notice period 4 days or more) if you take a credit voucher.
  5. 3 days or less – No refund will be provided, no re-schedule permitted, no credit voucher.
  6. In case of Typhoon 8 or Black rain signal the activity day will be cancelled and our team will arrange a make-up day within the same season or offer a credit voucher.
  7. Should Wild HK cancel the programme, a credit voucher will be given.

RE-SCHEDULING POLICY:

  1. All re-scheduling requests need to be advised by email and confirmed by our team (contact@wildhongkong.com).
  2. Re-schedules must be advised no less than 4 days in advance prior to the first day of the programme.
  3. Each booking can have 1 re-schedule request FREE of charge per booking. Any additional requests – HKD 500 per participant.
